An intensive treatment session is delivered in an extended session, utilizing multiple treatment modalities, including Gottman Couples Counseling for Couples, EFT (Emotional-Focused Therapy), ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Polyvagal Therapy. Typically, sessions are three to six hours and occur on a weekend. New research shows that intensive therapy for trauma and stress can be highly effective in reducing symptoms and improving relationships in a shorter time than traditional therapy.
